The NEW Sheridan Ice website is coming together!
New information will be posted as its available, to help keep you informed!

Almost time to lace up the skates!

Thank you for your patience as construction wraps up. Though our program start date is shifted a bit we are so thrilled that the new arena will be done soon.  We anticipate that the learn to play programs will begin in mid-January, and run for 8 weeks as they have in the past. In the meantime, we wanted to start the registration process so you can hit the ice as soon as the building is ready.

Since we are not able to host registration at the rink, we are offering several ways for you to complete the registration process:

  • Mail your registration with your check: Sheridan Ice  PO Box I (I as in Ice) Sheridan, WY  82801
  • Hand deliver your registration & payment to the rink during our Holiday Schedule!

Please call Dan at 751-1821 or Emily at 751-2484 if you have any questions about programs.

We look forward to seeing you at our new rink!

The staff at Sheridan Ice

The vision and hard work of many over the past 13 years has created a vibrant skating community on our humble outdoor rink – and now we have a roof on it! Amazing what dedication and passion can do!

During weekdays, weekends, and holidays Free Open Skate (& skates) remains available to all through the generous support of our Community Sponsors. We also partner with local schools: Decker, SCSCD#1 & #2, Holy Name, Sheridan College & Wyoming Girls School, as well as groups from the YMCA, area churches and other organizations to provide a safe, fun, and healthy environment to exercise, laugh, fall down and get back up. Other rink users include program participants in Learn to Skate, Learn to Play, Figure Skating Club, SAHA and Adult Hockey. Volunteer coaches dedicate hours to our programs, and everyone pitches in when needed. We are especially proud that during the holidays our sponsorship allows us to provide hours of free skating to local families and visitors, with as many as 300 skaters using the rink during that time!

At Sheridan Ice camaraderie and friendship are central to all that we do.

Raising the Roof – October 2015

Ice Update Oct 2015

With a new roof over our head, we are excited to begin a new era of skating in Sheridan. We now will have ice for approximately six months and offer a state of the art venue for hosting tournaments, birthday parties, and community gatherings. In the future, the M&M’s Center will be a venue for many types of events year-round, enhancing what Sheridan has to offer locals and visitors alike. We are on a tight construction schedule and anticipate having the ice down in November and the facility fully operational after the first of the year.

Whitney Rink on track for Christmas completion

SHERIDAN— Every day, the walls that make up the soon-to-be Whitney Rink at the M&M’s Center grow higher and higher.

Sheridan on Skates board members say they are hopeful the new indoor ice rink will be completed by Christmas. Construction on the arena began in March 2015. When finished, the arena will be approximately 35,000 square feet including the existing pad of ice and eight locker rooms to accommodate both figure skating and hockey programs and coaches and officials.

“It’s going spectacularly,” Sheridan on Skates board president Charley Whiton said. “All of the construction has been real great; it’s been a pleasure […]
